"Vanaf 22 februari 2024 ondersteunt Google Groepen geen nieuwe Usenet-content meer. Posten en abonneren is niet meer toegestaan en nieuwe content van Usenet-peers wordt niet weergegeven. Je kunt nog wel historische gegevens zoeken en bekijken, zoals nu het geval is."

For serious discussions of hominoid evolution (no savanna nonsense!) in the future, go to ***@groups.io !

I try to translate (at school I had to learn Dutch, French, Latin & then German & English...):
"Google groups from 22 Feb.24 on will not any more support new Usenet-content. You can't any more post & subscribe, and we'll no longer represent new content of Usenet-peers. As is now the case, you can still search & look up historical data."

Yes.
I don't know why I'm telling you this, but if you would actually read
Google's explanation, you would see that there is an easy path to
continue your pointless chanting. But I'll bet you won't.

I'm certainly interested, please where can I (or somebody else: I'm becoming too old) find this, so that we can continue our essential chanting?

"What’s changing?

Starting on February 22, 2024, you can no longer use Google Groups (at
groups.google.com) to post content to Usenet groups, subscribe to Usenet
groups, or view new Usenet content. You can continue to view and search
for historical Usenet content posted before February 22, 2024 on Google
Groups.

In addition, Google’s Network News Transfer Protocol (NNTP) server and
associated peering will no longer be available, meaning Google will not
support serving new Usenet content or exchanging content with other NNTP
servers.

This change will not impact any non-Usenet content on Google Groups,
including all user and organization-created groups. Most of the current
Google Groups content is not Usenet content and will not be affected.
What do I need to do?

If you don’t actively engage with Usenet content, you don’t need to do
anything. Current Usenet users will need to do two things before
February 22, 2024 if they want to continue engaging with Usenet content:

Find a new Usenet client. Several free and paid alternatives are
available, both web-based and application-based. To find a client, do a
web search for "how do I find a usenet text client"
Find a new public Usenet server. The new client you choose will
likely have a default server or a set of curated options for you. If
not, to find a server, do a web search for "public NNTP servers."

Because Usenet is a distributed system, you do not need to migrate data.
All of the Usenet content you can access today on Google Groups should
already be synced to the new server you choose. After you select a new
client and server, you can reselect the groups you’re interested in.
Why is Google Groups support for Usenet ending?

Over the last several years, legitimate activity in text-based Usenet
groups has declined significantly because users have moved to more
modern technologies and formats such as social media and web-based
forums. Much of the content being disseminated via Usenet today is
binary (non-text) file sharing, which Google Groups does not support, as
well as spam."

Yes, of course we can. I've been on usenet since long before Google Groups,
and I have been toying with the idea of retiring but, I dunno.

I'm positively captivating!

I just steal from you and others, put it together in ways you don't
or won't, then leave it to smarter/less lazy people to work out
the details.

"Details/Schmetails," I say...

We were all born into the Out of Africa purity model. We were all taught
it. And we were all brought to Aquatic Ape by different paths. I know
my journey started *Way* different from yours!

Honest to God, I was a passive parishioner until here, until you. I
guess I didn't recognize it's importance, though like the Out of Africa
purists I did accept it as true.

THIS IS SIGNIFICANT! Even Out of Africa purity relies on Aquatic Ape.
For them it's all a matter of the WHEN and the SCALE, as they have
humanity spreading out of Africa via COASTAL DISPERSAL.

The only difference between me & them is that I was never in denial.
I accepted Aquatic Ape and I knew I accepted it...

No, what really "Triggered" me in the end was FINALLY noting that
Aquatic Ape was the glue: It's what held all the pieces together.

Wolpoff and his Multiregionalism was right. It was clear; he was
right. But he required interbreeding which the mainstream rejected.
They claimed it was IMPOSSIBLE! Well, Erik Trinkaus settled that!

...17 years ago I was arguing Neanderthal/so-called "Modern"
interbreeding over in talk.origins without a single person on my
side. Someone had to agree with me, but not one person would
join me in contradicting the status quo. And yet it was already
proven by the work of Trinkaus and others, but Trinkaus was the
star of that show.

But we needed a way to not only connect these disparate groups,
we needed to get them to all their separate "Regions" in this
Multiregional model in the first place.

AQUATIC APE!

So that, yes, THAT pushed me from passive parishioner to lay
Minister in Aquatic Ape -- preaching against the sin of ignorance
in the Out of Africa purity model.

You've been challenged many times, and run away like a
little girl fleeing a spider every time, but why don't
you explain everything on that graphic using Out of
Africa purity?

Savanna nonsense?

Go ahead. We've been waiting.
